This interactive session will provide a basic introduction to digital security for individuals involved in human rights, academia, the arts, and media. Facilitator Mykola Kostynyan will guide you on how to manage your risks in communications, information storage, and other digital spaces. He will reserve most of the session for answering questions. To help him prepare, please email your questions in advance to onwards@global.cornell.edu and we will forward them to Mykola. 

Mykola Kostynyan is coordinator of RESIDENT.ngo and co-founder of the Eastern Partnership Digital Security Practitioners Network. He organizes digital security assistance for civil society organizations and independent media and promotes regional community- and network-building for digital security service providers in the Eastern Europe countries. He has worked with Internews, IREX, OSCE, Counterpart International, Media Diversity Institute, IWPR, and other group that support civil society and independent media organizations.
