If you are a displaced writer, artist, journalist, scholar, cultural worker, or human rights defender, maintaining your and your family's emotional wellbeing can be an enormous challenge.
In this ONWARDS session, you will hear about strategies for staying mentally healthy and learn about resources that can help you to deal with issues when they arise.
Presenters are Dr. Craig L. Katz, professor of psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York City and founder and director of Mount Sinai’s Program in Global Mental Health, and Dr. Yudit Namer, a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and alumna of the Scholars at Risk program now based at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Carly O'Connell, partnerships and communication analyst for the International Institute of Education's Scholar Rescue Fund, will moderate.
